
Dr. Jeanine Santelli
PhD, RN, AGPCNP-BC, FAAN
Dr. Jeanine Seguin Santelli, PhD, RN, AGPCNP-BC, FAAN, has recently completed training to serve as a Faith Community Nurse (FCN), an initiative spearheaded by Center Brunswick United Methodist Church to integrate faith and health for whole-person care. This program reflects Dr. Santelli’s deep commitment to promoting well-being by addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals within her community. As an FCN, she will play a vital role in delivering compassionate support, health education, and resources to both the congregation and the wider community.
In addition to this new role, Dr. Santelli, RN continues to serve as the Executive Director of The American Nurses Association – New York (ANA-NY), where she has been a transformative leader since 2016. In this capacity, she has been a steadfast advocate for the nursing profession, advancing policies, fostering continuing education opportunities, and championing initiatives that address the evolving challenges faced by nurses in New York State.
Dr. Santelli’s career spans clinical practice, academia, and leadership. She earned her nursing degrees from Keuka College, Syracuse University, and Widener University, where her dissertation examined the genetic knowledge of advanced practice nurses. Her academic leadership includes serving as Chair of the Nursing Department at Nazareth College, where she achieved significant improvements in NCLEX-RN pass rates, and as a faculty member and Associate Vice President for Academic Programs at Keuka College for nearly two decades.
Recognized nationally and internationally, Dr. Santelli has also contributed to genetic nursing as the former Executive Director of the Genetic Nurses Credentialing Commission, facilitating critical transitions of genetic nurse credentials. Her contributions to nursing education and leadership have earned her numerous accolades, including induction as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), the Keuka College Alumni Association’s Professional Achievement Award, and multiple honors from the International Society of Nurses in Genetics (ISONG).
By blending her vast experience in nursing leadership with her passion for community health, Dr. Santelli’s work as a Faith Community Nurse further underscores her dedication to holistic care, aligning with her lifelong mission to nurture healthier lives and empower individuals through education, advocacy, and support.
